Dear family,
Continuing our concert series from the Amazon rainforest with another Yawanawa family from the village of Mutum in Acre, Brazil. The chief Matsini Yawanawa from is a living legend of the Yawanawa people, widely respected for his wisdom, leadership, and commitment to preserving traditional knowledge and cultural practices. He will be accompanied by his beautiful family, including his wife ManxyVake, known for her powerful voice that carries the essence of the forest, and his two eldest children, Kuru and Kenetsãiny, who have been deeply immersed in their ancestral spiritual traditions from a young age.
Matsini Yawanawá will be our main host and guide. He grew up working with medicines and learning about the spiritual path from a very early age. His father taught him a lot, and he was with his sister Hushahu, a very dedicated student of the great shaman Tatá. When he grew up, he became the…
