The Dance Earth, funded through the generosity of the Mertz Gilmore Foundation.

 4pm **Opening Portal** 

The Quetzalcoatl Mexica dance involves bodily movements and has a ceremonial aspect that connects to the forces that sustain and create life. Guided by Yolanda Porcayo-Palma and Guadalupe Lares Tovar.  

5pm **Water Flow**

Kalpulli Huehuetlahtolli dance group. Connecting with ancestors through Aztec Water dance.

Kalpulli Huehuetlahtolli dance group exist to provide community outreach in an effort to unite all peoples as one. The presentation of Aztec Dance is an offering that represents thousands of years of the Mexica’s pursuit for universal harmony. Each dance is a prayer, integrating our bodies and spirit to promote healing. The Danza (dance) is a way of life that we utilize to communicate with each other and the world. Through these dances we honor our Mexica ancestors and Indigenous life style. We preserve our culture, history and sense of self-worth.

Opens Queens Council on the Arts: Friday 14th 2pm-10pm7pm. Saturday 15th 12-10pm Sunday 16th 12-6pm

Enjoy our art gallery, featuring a diverse lineup of artists showcasing their work across various disciplines. Attendees can explore an art exhibit featuring works from local and international artists that connect with the water element.

Kaleidoscope with Jiva Dance group.

Saturday 15th 2pm Kaleidoscope is the new production by Jiva Dance that looks at nature through the lens of a kaleidoscope.

Water is essential for both healing and living. When one thinks about water, it can evoke feelings of expansiveness, serenity, and wholeness, reminding us of the interconnectedness of all living things.

Water Ceremony

We are excited to invite you to join us for an incredible event on Saturday, the 15th at Hunter's Point Park. The Luminance Circle is hosting a two-hour event from 5pm-7pm that is sure to be an unforgettable experience.

The event will feature a water ceremony led by the Mexicas Grandmothers, Yolanda Porcayo-Palma and Guadalupe Lares Tovar. This ceremony will be a unique opportunity to connect with the powerful energy of water, and to honor the deep significance that water holds in many cultures.

During the ceremony, you will have the chance to participate in various water intentional activations, including meditation, chanting, and visualization exercises. These activations are designed to help you connect with the healing power of water, and to cultivate a deeper sense of peace and wellbeing.

We encourage you to invite your friends and family to join us for this special event. It promises to be a beautiful evening of community, connection, and spiritual growth. We look forward to seeing you there!
