About the event

Through cinema and the medicine of tobacco—Jauneka—from the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador, through the circle of word and song, we will come together to defeat the monster of loneliness.

Grandfather tobacco—Jauneka—serves as a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms, offering healing, protection, and guidance. It opens the door to the invisible world. Its enchantment returns our dreams, taking us where ancestors converse and where faith and art live.

The Sapara people's relationship with tobacco reflects centuries of preserved tradition and deep reverence for the dream world, passed down through generations.

The mystery calls us. Come to know the Sapara medicine. Come to hear this message that is not ours, but from your own heart remembering.
